Homemade Cherry Syrup
2 cups water
3 cups sugar
1 cup cherry juice fresh pressed or from reliable source
3 oz. lime juice
1 capsule powder vitamin C
1-1/2 cups brandy

Dissolve sugar in water in a pan over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and add cherry juice, lime juice, and vitamin C powder. Simmer to reduce volume by approximately 1/3, then remove from heat. Let cool and then stir in brandy.
