Balmy is back.

TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For Today- 3/27: The last remnants of this northern system have pushed off to the east and we will see temperatures warming back to the balmy spring like conditions under blue skies. Expect some light winds through the afternoon so have layers handy but we are looking at a beautiful day.

Temperatures: Overnight lows were slightly warmer than expected with Crested Butte reporting 19 degrees and 24 for Gunnison. Highs today will be 5 plus degrees warmer than yesterday with CB hitting 43 and 52 for Gunni. Look for lows tonight looking about the same as last night.

Outlook: We will hold in the drier eddy under this stream of moisture wrapping around from the north with more warm sunny conditions Saturday. We could see some high clouds and snow showers Sunday but it will likely miss to our north but plan your activities accordingly.

I cannot believe this is the first time I’ve used a pizza wheel to cut a quesadilla. My chef education continues… Tonight’s quesadilla luxuriated in Wisconsin white cheddar mixed with Stella Gorgonzola, topped with honey smoked salmon with cracked pepper, cowgirl style. Divine inspiration!
