Paloma
2 oz. | tequila | |
6 oz. | grapefruit soda | |
1/2 lime | lime |
Fill a collins or pint glass with ice. Add tequila and grapefruit soda. Save a little room to squeeze the lime half into the glass. Toss in the rind and stir.
This drink is the national drink of Mexico rather than the expected margarita. According to our sources, Mexicans typically use Squirt grapefruit soda. We think Izzes or San Pellegrino are both better sodas.
If you'd prefer a more natural option, simply substitute fresh quality grapefruit juice and club soda for the grapefruit soda.
We first learned about the Paloma from Bob and Susan Hunt.
