2 oz.	citrus vodka
1/2 oz.	Cointreau
1/2 oz.	lemon juice
splash	cranberry juice

Fill a mixing glass with cracked ice. Add all ingredients and shake well – until a frost forms on the outside of the shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon spiral.

Devised by and for Evan Shively, a former chef at Enrico’s in San Francisco, this cocktail is a classy update of the familiar (and tired?) Cosmopolitan. Remember, when it comes to cocktails less is more. Think Grace Kelly, not Madonna.

I cannot believe this is the first time I’ve used a pizza wheel to cut a quesadilla. My chef education continues… Tonight’s quesadilla luxuriated in Wisconsin white cheddar mixed with Stella Gorgonzola, topped with honey smoked salmon with cracked pepper, cowgirl style. Divine inspiration!

We’ve added a new feature to cracklyfinger.com – Fantasy sports. You can create a Series composed of one or more races and add competitors. Users (who must sign up and login) make guesses about who will do well in races. After each race you (as Series creator) enter the results and view current standings on the leaderboard.
